In my final project for my World Literature class, I wrote an opinion piece on how colonization still affects Africa today. In the article, I explored the history of colonization and slavery in Africa and explain how Africa’s history is affecting its present. I used one of the books we read in class, Things All Apart, as a springboard for the piece.

For my Freelance Writing, class I wrote a review of Chelsea Handler’s Netflix documentary, “Hello, Privilege, It’s Me Chelsea.” This assignment taught me how to write a review for an online publication. I have not written a lot of reviews, so this assignment helped a lot in terms of helping me understand the structure of a review.
